MARINE ASTRO NAVIGATION (SCI 129)

The Marine Astro Navigation follows the completion of the Intro to Astronomy course, as a highly recommended prerequisite, but is not always required (dependant on the individual's experience and previous education). This course covers the basics of navigating by the stars while on board a vessel. The course will help those trainees looking to go for the Yachtmasters Ocean license with understanding the astro navigation requirement.
Before undertaking this course, the candidate will have to have a valid:
Marine fitness medical (from any countries, provided it is ILO/IMO approved)
STCW Basic Safety Training certificate
