The Arts & Music DTS is a six-month, full-time Christian training program designed to foster intentional growth in your relationship with God. Throughout the lecture phase, students wrestle with their faith and beliefs, allowing Truth to deepen their roots in Christ, while engaging in at least 11 weeks of teaching, intercession, and one-on-one mentorship. The program is delivered in a live/learn residential environment, integrating YWAM’s values, callings, and ministry opportunities, and providing orientation to the University of the Nations (UofN) and its courses. The arts and music focus creates a space for artists and creatives to grow together, explore creativity, and discover how to use their craft as a tool for God’s kingdom, regardless of skill level. Through workshops, projects, creative journals, and outreach opportunities, students learn to reflect their relationship with Jesus through their art while developing character, identity, and a heart for mission. The field assignment phase allows students to engage in meaningful gospel communication, diverse ministry experiences, and cultural engagement, reinforcing the connection between learning and practical application. As the entry-level program for YWAM’s University of the Nations, the DTS provides credits for further studies and opens pathways to staff roles or advanced courses in fields such as arts, media, education, and theology. Program quality is ensured through qualified leaders and teachers, clear assessment and evaluation criteria, and adherence to local and international YWAM standards. By the end of the DTS, students are equipped spiritually, creatively, and practically to live missionally and bring God’s presence into every sphere of society.
