This course provides a chronological survey of the biblical canon from Genesis to Revelation. Utilizing the inductive method—observation, contextual interpretation, and practical application—students engage with biblical texts through lectures, personal study, and small-group oral reading. The curriculum focuses on mapping the overarching redemptive narrative, understanding biblical literary genres, and examining the character and nature of God through as represented in each portion of scripture. Additionally, students acquire practical tools for leading small-group studies and conducting independent biblical research. Students will read the entire Bible aloud, in groups, by the end of the course.
