Barista Arts Seminar ( ATS 147 )

The aim of this course is to learn baristas skill and coffee skills to reach out to people in all spheres of society and create community. You will be able to learn brewing methods, latte art, coffee flair & lots more through hands-on training during this course you will also learn all the fundamental skills including grinder setting, milk handling, latte art, refracting coffee and graphing  through practical training sessions. By the end of the course our aims is that your is a level of a skilled working barista,  Manager or Owner, able to work confidently in a coffee environment. The students will also learn the history of coffee, business practices, efficient workflow, budget and customer service.  This course is for students that desire to work in the coffee industry, work with people  and bring impact to a community. 

Barista Course Level 2 ( ATS 150 )

Barista Intensive ​ This course is 4-5 weeks of barista skills, based off the SCA curriculum for beginner and intermediate barista certification. By the end of the course you can also choose to take the exams and receive Barista Certification. This course will be run in London from a few different locations. ​ We will cover topics such as coffee growth and origins, processing methods, roasting, espresso and recipes, milk steaming and latte art, grinders and machine maintenence, and business skills and planning, and more. ​ Our goals are for you to complete this course inspired, more than equipped to enter the barista workforce, begin new endeavours in coffee, and extend your knowledge to a new level.

Creative Writing Seminar ( CMC 113 )

We aim to model for creative writers how to use creative writing to reach out to people in all spheres of society. We also aim to break down structure-based limitations and curriculum barriers. We attempt to make YWAM more open and inclusive for a broader expression of the body of Christ to be able to experience a missional lifestyle through this sphere of influence in society. In today’s society, we want to be writers who can translate the values and the beauty of God into personal stories, making Jesus available to a crowd that doesn’t like church or religion. We need articles, books, and blogs about positive things, making the gospel practical. We need to speak His words over a new generation that has never met Him.

Culinary Arts Seminar ( ATS 144 )

We aim to model for Chefs how to use cooking and culinary arts skills to reach out to people in all spheres of society and create community. Also through this we aim to break down structure-based limitations and curriculum barriers. We attempt to make YWAM more open and inclusive for a broader expression of the body of Christ to be able to experience a missional lifestyle through this sphere of influence in society. This school is for those with a passion for food and a heart for people. We are about serving people, learning a craft, and building community. More than just meals, we focus on the inner workings of a culinary arts, the ways to build a business, and how to get our community more involved together. We want to create recipes and bring community; to gather people while learning excellence in our craft. Within the three months, we will focus on some of the history of food/process of where it comes from, the skills of being a culinary artist, and also the key points of customer service and how we can be a difference and an influence in the lives of those we are serving.

Dance Seminar ( ATS 111 )

We aim to model for dancers how to use dance to reach out to people in all spheres of society. We also aim to break down structure-based limitations and curriculum barriers. We attempt to make YWAM more open and inclusive for a broader expression of the body of Christ to be able to experience a missional lifestyle through this sphere of influence in society. In the dance seminar, we want to dance to bring cultures together, to draw people to God and to translate the passion of God to others. We believe that dance is a powerful tool that can function as a channel for God to bring joy, freedom, deliverance and revelation. We believe that dancers can work together and move to break structures and boundaries, in the spiritual and in the natural.

Discipleship Training School (DTS) ( DSP 211 )

This DTS is a full time, live learn school where it serves to gather and challenge people to listen to and obey God, whilst releasing them to serve through evangelism, intercession and other expressions of God’s heart for the world.  Students are challenged to grow in their relationship with God as they learn from the DTS Curriculum, resulting in Christ like character.  There is personal application of Biblical truth, while being equipped to live and relate to others, both in YWAM and outside of it.  It consists of a minimum of, 11 to 12 week lectures and minimum 8 to 12 weeks practical field assignment, in accordance with UofN DTS Guidelines.   

Filmmaking Media Seminar ( CMC 183 )

We aim to model for filmmakers how to use filmmaking to reach out to people in all spheres of society. We also aim to break down structure-based limitations and curriculum barriers. We attempt to make YWAM more open and inclusive for a broader expression of the body of Christ to be able to experience a missional lifestyle through this sphere of influence in society. Filmmaking is a huge influence in our society. It shapes what information we want to deliver with visual imagery that stimulates thought.

Magazine Production Seminar ( CMC 115 )

The aim of this course is to provide a space for artists to collaborate and publish a magazine to reach out to people in all spheres of society and create community. You will be able to learn content development, article writing, graphic design, & lots more through hands-on training. During this course you will also learn all the fundamental skills including photography, social media, photoshoot production and marketing distribution through practical training sessions. By the end of the course our aim is that you are equipped with the skills and heart necessary to produce a magazine. This course is for students that desire to work in the magazine and media industries, work in teams and bring impact to a community.

Ministry Development Seminar ( CHR 147 )

This Ministry Development Seminar enables students to discover and develop their gifts and talents in leadership roles. Through the classroom sessions, participants discover their spiritual and motivational gifts, and learn about vision development, spiritual leadership and communication skills for leaders.

Performing Arts Seminar ( ATS 113 )

This seminar aims to teach participants how make use of the performing arts in worship and proclamation of the Gospel. Both theoretical and practical training are included in the curriculum. The Arts Internship is a three month course that will enable interns to use the creative arts to serve the major cities of the world. The focus is not only to train the interns in their art areas, but rather to combine the arts with faith in God, in a way that enables them in a missional way to touch the hearts of those who witness their arts in action. This time includes practical, hands-on instruction and one-to-one discipling, as well as several weeks of outreach. Interns will live the life of a missionary in the arts. The different tracks that are available in the internship are dance, drama, fashion, fine arts, barista, body art, creative writing, music, and media/photography. All of the artists work together in their different tracks to create one innovative production to be performed or displayed during the outreach phase. A typical day in the Arts Internship could include a morning devotional, practice in the art tracks, work duties, family time, spiritual teaching, and working on the production for outreach. Interns will learn about prophetic art, art as evangelism, spiritual warfare, using artistic gifts for God, and other topics. This course is not limited to those who have graduated from a DTS.

Photography Media Seminar ( CMC 141 )

We aim to model for creative writers how to use photography to reach out to people in all spheres of society. We also aim to break down structure-based limitations and curriculum barriers. The heart behind the photography seminar is to encourage artists to work together and to reflect the heart of the Creator. It is through knowing how to work together and to serve one another that we will use our art to reflect God’s heart. Topics covered in photography include: basics of photography, portrait photography, macro photography, basics of editing and Photoshop, event photography, artistic photography, basic graphic design, street photography, use of social media and photography, and how to create work to exhibit either in a public space or in an exhibition.

Seminar in Fashion Design ( ATS 125 )

We aim to model for fashion designers, stylists, and bloggers how to use fashion to reach out to people in all spheres of society. We also aim to break down structure-based limitations and curriculum barriers. We attempt to make YWAM more open and inclusive for a broader expression of the body of Christ to be able to experience a missional lifestyle through this sphere of influence in society. Our desire is to bring light into the field of fashion. During the internship, we will explore how we can do fashion for the kingdom of God, embrace and grow in our identity as artists, and how we can use fashion to have an impact in the fashion industry. We will go through the process of creating clothes from designing to making, and we will create pieces and collections that reflect what we believe in and what God puts on our hearts to communicate to the people around us.

Sports Ministry Training ( SFT 181 )

The Sports and Fitness Seminar is a six week "taste of missions" lifestyle through sports that will enable you to use sports to serve London and the major cities of the world. These three months are split up into a ‘preparation phase’ and an ‘outreach phase’. The Sports Seminar focuses on growing students in their athletic skills, both individually and playing in a team. Our main goal is to do sports as a mission, reaching and connecting with people where they are at. We believe that God has called us to disciple and invest in young people, and a way of doing so is to reach them through sports and fitness. We see sports and fitness as an opportunity to do outreach, as well as learning a lot about yourself and your role in a team. We aim to spend time practicing individual skills during the week and then be doing sports as a part of outreach.

Theatre Seminar ( ATS 133 )

We aim to model for theatre students how to use theatre to reach out to people in all spheres of society. We also aim to break down structure-based limitations and curriculum barriers. We attempt to make YWAM more open and inclusive for a broader expression of the body of Christ to be able to experience a missional lifestyle through this sphere of influence in society. Our purpose for theatre is to express the heart of God and to reveal to the people that we encounter what it means to live in God's kingdom. Theatre is a strong weapon in our fight as part of God's army because theatre does not touch the logical parts of a person's mind, but rather it passes the mind and touches the heart.

Visual Arts Seminar ( ATS 157 )

We aim to model for visual artists and street artists how to use art to reach out to people in all spheres of society. We also aim to break down structure-based limitations and curriculum barriers. We attempt to make YWAM more open and inclusive for a broader expression of the body of Christ to be able to experience a missional lifestyle through this sphere of influence in society. In this seminar, we desire for students to learn how to use their artistic skills to serve others and encourage the public to encounter God in a new way. We focus on practicing art forms and teaching new ways of doing visual and street arts. Students can experience everything from painting, drawing, and sculpting to graffiti and multi-media installations.
