Discipleship Training School (DTS) ( DSP 211 )

This DTS is a full time, live to learn school where it serves to gather and challenge people to listen to and obey God, whilst releasing them to serve through evangelism, intercession and other expressions of God’s heart for the world.  Students are challenged to grow in their relationship with God as they learn from the DTS Curriculum, resulting in Christ-like character.  There is personal application of Biblical truth while being equipped to live and relate to others, both in YWAM and outside of it.  It consists of a minimum of, 11 to 12-week lectures and a minimum of 8 to 12 weeks of practical field assignment, in accordance with UofN DTS Guidelines.

Principles in Child and Youth Ministries ( EDN 221 )

A course designed to provide students with Biblical perspectives of children, youth and family, and to equip them with foundational principles and skills for ministry with young people and families. Different kinds of ministry expressions will be considered: mercy ministries with children/youth in need, child and youth evangelism, year round discipleship programmes, mobilising young people and families for missions, innovative programme development, partnering with local churches, motivating the generations in prayer and worship, etc. The students will also have opportunity to grow in their own character, relationship with God, teamwork, and Biblical Christian worldview.
