SCHOOL OF ILLUSTRATION (ATS/CMC 255)

Prerequisites: DSP 211 & 212
Credits: 11 - 12

In this course students are trained by professional illustrators and staff in the commercial art fields such as: children's book illustration, animation, editorial computer design, magazine covers, packaging, medical illustration, movie posters and product illustration. Some topics covered are: drawing, composition, conceptual illustration, biblical foundations of the arts, color theory, portfolio development, perspective, painting techniques and freelance business. The school assists students in developing a marketable and professional artistic skill. Besides the pre-requisite listed below, a portfolio review of five examples of the student's artwork is required.
