The audiovisual world can be thought of as a Church where the arts come together, where sounds and image are combined in order to communicate. The curriculum includes script, direction, production, editing and acting among many others. The purpose of this school is not only to show how to use different techniques to create audiovisual products, but also how to apply these tools in sharing the gospel. They can be used to communicate the values of the Kingdom of God in our society and specifically in places with little or no knowledge of Christ. Topics include: dramatic filmmaking, scriptwriting, documentary filmmaking, photography, editing, production, digital cinema, biblical worldview in arts and cross-cultural communication. This course meets the U of N Core Curriculum requirement for Communication. During the twelve week lecture phase, students experience and apply what they are learning in a practical way leading them to make a movie in the city, which is concluded in the end of the lecture phase. Besides that, there is also an opportunity to join a outreach phase producing a movie in an area less evangelized or in cinematographic productions with a local film-maker. We also offer a three months internship.
