PHOTOGRAPHY MEDIA SEMINAR (CMC 141)

Credits: 1 - 6

The Photography Seminar is a six-week program that trains participants in various facets of photography with the goal of using those skills to serve people throughout the world. This time includes practical, hands-on instruction and one-to-one discipling. A typical day in the Photography Seminar could include a morning devotional, photography practice, work duties, family time, spiritual teaching, and working on performance for outreach. Students will learn about prophetic art, art as evangelism, spiritual warfare, using artistic gifts for God, and other topics. This course is not limited to those who have graduated from a DTS. Topics include: basics of photography, portrait photography, macro photography, basics of editing and Photoshop, event photography, artistic photography, basic graphic design, street photography, use of social media and photography, and how to create work to exhibit either in a public space or in an exhibition.
