MARINE NAVIGATION FOUNDATIONS (SCI 224)

Prerequisites:
Credits: 1 - 12

The Marine Navigation Foundations (MNF) course gives trainees the tools and foundations needed to get in the Captain's chair and take the gospel to all nations. The MNF course pairs the Royal Yachting Association's Day Skipper curriculum with further discipleship through the UofN, for those who desire to progress to a ships officer. This is one of the few RYA programs on earth that is offered in a christian community that includes discipleship and missional vision building along with navigational training. Training is offered, not only with UofN standards, but with the standards set by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), International Shipping Federation (ISF), and international Standards for Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) Convention.
