The Seminar of Visual Arts in Contemporary Culture studies the sources of the current culture, reexamining key moments in history to better understand today's world. The Seminar focuses on the visual arts, and their impact on modernity and postmodernity. It seeks to contribute to the formation of new metaphors and expressions for artists, that redefine and reinterpret our value as creatives, in our interconnected society. We aim to facilitate dialogue with present culture so participants can grow in discernment infused with a Biblical worldview, which will provide useful tools to mature their work. This 4 week seminar is for those involved in visual arts, whether as makers, curators, managers, documenters or producers, with the goal of each student being able to produce a plan for a practical project by the last day.
