Credits: 1 - 12

The focus of this seminar will be learning skills in developing, filming and editing movies designed to communicate cross-culturally. Students will come to understand the missionary heart of God to communicate truth to every culture, and will then be trained in the filmmaking skills necessary to create a cinematic story that is relevant and appropriate for its audience. The seminar will cover principles of cross-cultural communication and contextualization, and how to apply those principles to filming and editing short movies. An optional field assignment to apply these skills is offered shortly after the seminar is completed.
