DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOL (DTS) (DSP 211 / 212)

28 Jul 2024 - 15 Dec 2024

JOCUM Contagem

Offered in: Portuguese, English

This school is an intensive Christian discipleship course that begins with an 11- or 12-week lecture/teaching phase, followed by 8-12 weeks of practical fieldwork. It is a prerequisite for all other University of the Nations courses, and it also serves to guide and prepare our students to be future Youth With A Mission (YWAM) staff. DTS is designed to encourage students in personal character development, cultivating their relationship with God, and identifying their unique gifts and callings. Intercultural exposure and global awareness are special emphases throughout the course, preparing students to evangelize and disciple current and future generations, answering the call to go all over the world and teach (make disciples of) all nations (Matthew 28 :19). The curriculum falls into the following six main categories: The Bible - Who is God - In the Beginning - What Went Wrong - The New Beginnings - Becoming People Like Jesus and Bearing Fruit for the Kingdom. This school can also be offered with a particular focus. Ex: DTS Arts; DTS Sport Credit will be given for this course with satisfactory completion of DSP 211/212.
