The Birth Attendant School will train the student in maternal health, reaching out to marginalised women and their families. The student will be trained to provide basic skilled help for pregnant women, and the problems surrounding birth and following. This school is for those with a missional heart, the poor and needy and less resourced countries. Students will have opportunities to volunteer in busy urban hospitals as well as rural clinics and villages. They will learn the importance of prayer and worship, listening to and obeying God. A special attention is given to teaching and training women about their bodies, nutrition, hygiene and safe birth practice. The goal is to provide safe deliveries and to decrease death. Being with a woman in this critical time of childbirth, opens doors for close relationship, prayer, and ministry with them and their families.
