From the secret place to the stage, worship connects us to the heart of God. Come be equipped as a worshiper in breathtaking Tauranga, New Zealand. In the three-month Training Phase, you will learn from experienced leaders and musicians, as well as gain hands-on, practical experience.
Here at YWAM Furnace NZ, we believe, as John Piper says, that worship is both the fuel and the goal of missions. That’s why the Prayer Room is central to all that we do. As a part of the School of Worship, spending time in the Prayer Room is built into eight+ hours of your weekly schedule, with plenty of time to jump in and get experience being a part of a worship team. We believe that God wants to propel prophetic messengers like flaming arrows from the ends of the earth into the nations. But it has to start in the place of intimacy.
It is our desire that the School of Worship would be a season where you can dive deep into intimacy with God, discovering more about who He is and who He has created you to be, and that your heart would burn with passion for the King of Kings as you gaze upon His beauty.
Finally, discover your vital role as a worshiper on the mission field during the two-month Outreach. We are committed to reaching the lost, and worship opens doors to people’s hearts in a unique way. Our short-term outreaches serve long-term workers, come alongside existing ministries, and can help pioneer new initiatives. Altogether, it will be an unforgettable experience as you know God and make Him known as a worshiper.
The School of Worship is a 5 month school with 3 months of training followed by 2 months of outreach and is a second level school with the University of the Nations. This means that you must have already completed a DTS (Discipleship Training School). It is a school for those who are passionate about worship, enthusiastic about music and longing to know God on a deeper level. This school is for those who want to reach the nations by being worship leaders and facilitators of God’s presence, who draw others into his love and truth in creative and unique ways.
