This course provides an introduction and overview of the fundamental core business disciplines such as Introduction to Business as Mission, A biblical worldview of business, Marketing, Sales, Lean Startup, Finance and Administration, Integrating Business with Mission, Aid vs. Business, and Missional Entrepreneurship. Each instructor will present the business topics from a Kingdom of God and entrepreneur mindset for the developing world. Over the length of the course the student completes a business plan and presents it before a panel of business owners and BAM practitioners at the course end. After taking this course a student should have a general understanding of how businesses work and the necessary information to choose which discipline they may wish to focus on within the overall sphere of business. The course will also lead students in an exploration of the concepts of Business As Mission (BAM) and Marketplace Ministry.
