Documentary storytelling is a powerful tool for informing, educating, inspiring, challenging mindsets, and bringing transformation. The Documentary Filmmaking School aims to train and equip passionate individuals with the skills to make documentary films; capturing real stories and events and sharing them in a way which brings transformation. Topics which will be covered in the school include: worldview and content development; scriptwriting and research; camera and lighting techniques; advanced editing with Final Cut Pro; directing and interviewing; marketing; and investigative journalism. The course includes both an individual project and a group project, as well as a final screening. The credits gained in this course can be applied to either an AA in Communication Arts and Media with the University of the Nations, or a BA in Communication Arts and Media: Documentary Filmmaking.
