ARTS

arts

The College of Arts seeks to equip men and women to display the Gospel through their unique talents and gifts. Integrating Biblical truths with artistic expressions generates an influential vehicle for proclaiming the Gospel in celebration across cultural and generational divides.

In a rapidly globalizing society, the universal language of arts is critical in expressing God’s thinking, character, and glory to the nations.

With courses in music, song writing, culinary arts, event management, and more, the College of Arts provides training in a variety of disciplines. This training, however, goes beyond method, challenging students to develop Godly characters, a strong social conscience with a focus on God and a deeper understanding of how their individual passions can influence the world for His glory.

Course Credits Type Number

The UofN uses two types of credits, FLW (full learning weeks) and LCU (learning component units).

FLW credits are used with traditional residential courses and one of these credits requires a minimum of 50 hours of documented learning activities; these include our normal lectures, small groups, one-on-ones, etc.; and some of these activities are nonformal, in addition to the classroom activities and study assignments.

LCU credits are used for part-time programs like evening courses, intensive seminars, distance learning and other non-residential courses. Each LCU credit requires 25 hours of focused learning activities which can be spread over a period of time.
