2011 UofN Workshop Report
In the first week of September 2011, the University of the Nations held its 12th Workshop. This was the first ever UofN Workshop to be convened in Kona, Hawaii, birthplace of YWAM’s university vision. This was a fitting place, for YWAM had just celebrated fifty years of fruitful ministry and we were crossing over into the next half century with intensified faith. Appropriately, the theme of the workshop was “Shaping the Future: Equipping for Multiplication.”
Megacities – One Year. One City. One Message.
“Megacities was an experience that revolutionized our church!”
This was the enthusiastic response we got from Pastor Luis Castillo, from the Fresca Unción church in Mexico City, when we asked him to describe his experience with Megacities, a Youth With A Mission ministry that is located on the UofN campus in Australia pioneered.
Megacities' ministry was designed to create a platform for a strong and focussed engagement with one of the world’s most influential cities at a time, for a one- year period.

Small Action - Big Vision
Youth With A Mission Heidebeek, a training centre from the Netherlands, recently welcomed home a team of ophthalmologists after a 4 week outreach in South Africa. During this period the team, known as "Eye Wave" provided prescription glasses to 1150 patients in and around one of the poorest areas of Durban.
The team focused their mission on children. Team leader, Miranda Tollenaar reports, "Why glasses and why children? Because glasses can prevent accidents, improve the eduction and the employment & salary prospects of children when they grow up."

Japanese Church finds hope amid disaster
YWAM continues to partner with local churches and other agencies in Japan to bring help, comfort and hope to the people of Japan in the wake of the earthquake and tsunami which devastated their nation in March.
This video looks at how Christians are responding in this nation, how they are finding meaning in the disaster and will inform your prayers for the survivors of the tsunami.
