An integral part of the Community Health course is the 11-12 week practical field assignment. Working in challenging circumstances in the developing world, students have opportunity to apply and test the principles and skills learned in the classroom by conducting community assessments and project evaluations and by teaching health workshops and mentoring others. This course is especially valuable for medical professionals and project managers preparing for long-term work in developing countries.
