Primary Health Care is a ministry that demonstrates God’s heart of love and compassion towards people in a practical way and enables them to be brought into wholeness- physically, spiritually and emotionally. It provides access to the least evangelised nations and opens doors for opportunities to share the Gospel. It also provides opportunities for other teams to work alongside, to provide discipleship and evangelisation, particularly in needy areas. Primary Health Care is essential to reaching, the un-reached and least evangelised areas of the world as most of these areas exist within the poorest of the poor nations.
The school aims to:
• Equip students with the means that will enable them to enter otherwise closed communities, and to see Mercy Ministry locations established within the Indian Ocean Gateway region and beyond, using a Primary Health Care approach
• Facilitate access into poor and needy communities both rural and city areas by using the keys of Primary Health Care to serve the people and show God’s love and empower them to look after themselves, both physically and spiritually. (1 Cor 3:16-17)
• Provide practical training for students that will enable them to better serve the people they are called to minister.
